<Seminar Series> Komaba Middle East Seminar “Heritage and the Middle East: The Evolution of Culture, History, and Faith” (9th session)
The University of Tokyo Centre for Middle Eastern Studies (UTCMES) hosts research seminar series “Heritage and the Middle East: The Evolution of Culture, History, and Faith” as a part of our FY2021 projects.
In this 9th session, we will welcome Dr. Kosuke Matsubara of Tsukuba University and Dr. Yohei Kondo of the University of Tokyo. Dr. Matsubara will give a talk entitled “Architecture of the Ibāḍiyya and its Inspiration: Focusing on Ghardaia and Djerba Island” and Dr. Kondo “Ibāḍī Architectural Regulations and the Protection of Cultural Heritage in Contemporary Oman.”
