The Middle East and Islamic Seminar 2013/2014
The influence of apocalyptic thought on the historical development of the European world is well known. In contrast, the influence of apocalyptic thought in the Eastern Mediterranean world has been neglected. In this seminar, we will discuss the development and influence of apocalyptic thought in Eastern Churches after the Islamic period, using the book of Revelation in the Danielic lineage of the Old Testament as an example.
