Find Books or Journals

Books or Journals in University of Tokyo
  • University of Tokyo OPAC
  • Search by titles of books or journals, author names, ISBN or ISSN. You can find books and journals.

    After log-in to MyOPAC, you can request delivery via search result screen.

    If you are going to visit library to read some material, please check the "Location", "Call No.", "Status" and "Comments" on the OPAC search result screen. They are important to find materials at the library.

  • The Catalog of National Diet Library. You can search for Doctoral Dissertations in Japan.

  • You can search through the holdings of the public (ward, city and metropolitan) libraries in the metropolitan prefectural area.

  • This is a cross search tool for e-journals, e-books and databases available at the University of Tokyo. Since searches can be performed across multiple sources, you can save a great deal of time and effort.

  • Provided by National Institute of Informatics. This covers mainly academic journals and transactions of academic societies in Japan. You can read some articles on the web.

  • Web of Scienceoncampus use
  • This significant database covers articles published in major academic journals.

  • Engineering Villageoncampus use
  • Covers both Compendix and Inspec, which include a wide range of engineering-related fields.

The Academic Information Literacy Section at the Information Technology Center conducts database training courses. They are mainly held at General Library. They consist of a rich variety of content, such as how to use OPAC, electronic journals, individual database, etc.
