(Sponsor) Call for Entrants for the 3rd Arabic Recitation Contest

To commemorate World Arabic Language Day (December 18th), we will be holding the 3rd Arabic Recitation Contest. In this contest, Japanese students studying Arabic will recite Arabic literary works and compete against each other in order to deepen understanding of different cultures and foster a spirit of multicultural coexistence.

This year’s contest is being held with the cooperation of the embassies of Yemen, Oman, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, Palestine, Bahrain, and Jordan.

The eligibility requirements and application procedures are as follows. We hope you will participate.

Date and time 

Saturday, December 14, 2024 13:00-16:00

Application period 

Applications will close by Thursday, November 14, 2024 (as soon as the maximum number of participants (30 people) is reached)

Process leading up to the event

We will send you the Arabic literature work that will be the assignment on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Please select three works that you would like to read aloud and let us know by Friday, November 22, 2024 at alqiraa_alarabiya[at]tufs.ac.jp. Please note that if we do not receive a response by the deadline, we will select the works to be read aloud and notify you.
