The Structure and Patterns of Saudi Arabia’s Politics: Political Theory on the Linkage of Domestic and Foreign Policy in Developing Countries (October 5, 2019)

2019 Public Seminar “History, Culture, and Society in the Arabian Peninsula” 6th session)

In recent years, scholars of Middle Eastern politics have sought how to delicately depict political structures and processes from intricate data, while based on area studies methods that clarify local concepts and political history through the collection and scrutiny of materials and fieldwork. In wading through concepts and models in political science, minor and forgotten models and concepts are sometimes found to be suitable for explaining the structure and patterns of Middle Eastern politics.

This lecture aims to provide a sensitive explanation of Middle East politics by rediscovering and refining the omniblance theory.
