Our laboratory, Food for Life, was established on June 1st, 2009 under an endowment from Nestle, the world's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company.

The mission of “Food for Life” is to implement research projects in the area of food and nutrition science to benefit human health. The whole project consists of eight platforms: 1) Nutritional epidemiology and informatics, 2) Metabolic syndrome and functional food, 3) Sensory and organoleptic science, 4) Brain and cognition, 5) Pedology and dietary education, 6) Gerontology and longevity, 7) Food safety and toxicology, and 8) Kinematics and robotics.
