Events and activities
1. Annual Symposium of Agro-Biotechnology Research Center
The former Biotechnology Research Center organized an annual symposium which hosts an excellent selection of speakers from all across Japan and across a broad range of topics with major focus on microbiology and plant sciences. Furthermore, International Symposium hosted once per several years offered an opportunity for interaction and networking with established scientists from abroad.The new AgTech will continue to hold a similar symposium.
2. Global Innovation Workshop
Every year graduate students from the Agro-Biotechnology Research Center organize a seminar. The aim of the seminar is to provide a forum for young scientists from the Center to present and discuss their research as well as an opportunity to improve presentation skills in English.
3. High school students lab tour
The Agro-Biotechnology Research Center hosts lab tours for students in high school during the academic year. These events are designed to briefly introduce the students to science.
4. International Collaboration
The Agro-Biotechnology Research Center partnerships with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), Biotechnology Institute of Minessota University (USA) and Southwest University (China) as an effort to expand international collaboration and academic exchange.
