Configurations of points on the n-sphere turn out to span a bridge between the
Hochschild homology of n-algebras on the one hand and free n-sphere spaces on the
other. We will discuss joint results with Martin Markl, which generalize the classical
n = 1 case, due to Burghelea and Fiedorowicz.
