We hosted the 224th Life and Environmental Sciences Seminar. We invited Dr. Yun-Bo Shi (Senior Investigator, NIH) and Prof. Daniel R. Buchholz (University of Cincinnati) to give talks titled “Organ-specific roles of TR in controlling larval tissue resorption, adult organ development, and regeneration capacity in Xenopus tropicalis tadpoles” and “Corticosteroids in the regulation of development.” The seminar was well attended, including participants joining online, and ended successfully.

At NASCE in Québec, Canada, I organized and chaired a symposium titled “Signaling processes in development and disease,” and gave a talk about the functions of TRα and TRβ in the small intestine. It was also a special occasion as my former mentor, Yun-Bo, received the “Gorbman-Bern Memorial Lectureship,” which brought together many alumni. Congratulations!
