Keiichi Yano was born in 1991 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan.  He received his B.S. in 2014, M.Eng. in 2016, and D.Eng. in 2019, respectively, from the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Prof. Takuzo Aida.  Through his Ph.D. course, he was also supervised by Prof. Eiichi Nakamura in the Department of Chemistry, School of Science, the University of Tokyo as a co-adviser.  He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo, Japan, and also a visiting postdoctoral research fellow in the group of Prof. Nicholas A. Kotov at the University of Michigan, USA.  His research interests include supramolecular polymers, liquid crystals, colloidal particles, and (chiro-)optical materials.  Currently, he is working on the development of supramolecular colloidal particles for chiro-optical applications.
