Unlike visual and auditory perceptions, we do not have any specific sensory system devoted to time perception. We examine how time perception is neurally implemented using behavioral experiments, computer simulations and neuroimaging.
We are investigating the function of the brain network. For example, we are interested in observing the effect of transcranial electrical stimulation on the connectivity between the stimulated area and other brain regions.
We are using Bayesian Theory to measure the extent of how what we perceive is influenced by previous experiences.
When we perceive sensory information of different modalities at the same time, our brains process that information first separately and then integrates it. We examine various aspects of sensory integration such as different speeds of information processing across modalities, interference among modalities and timing of sensory integration.
