Molecular Genetics Research Laboratory (MGRL) of the University of Tokyo was established in 1983 to stimulate research and education and to ensure safety in the recombinant DNA technology on the campus.

Research Activities
There are two laboratories carried on by the MGRL staffs. Besides, currently three projects have been assigned as long-term affiliates and share the lab space in MGRL.
