In order to recover from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, improving not only nuclear engineering but also other related engineering fields is essential. We hope to create a new integrated vision, detailed in the following report provided by the Ad Hoc Engineering Vision Working Group, which was organized in the School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo. Our laboratory contributed substantially in developing the foundation of this vision.
