Welcome to our site. This department was founded in September, 1954, one of the oldest departments of cultural anthropology in Japan. Our classes, both of undergraduate education and graduate education, are taught in Japanese. So, you need a pretty good command of the Japanese language, with certain fluency in everyday Japanese.
