概要：
鈴木研究室では、開発途上国の経済発展、社会開発等についての諸問題を研究しています。研究室に所属する学生はそれぞれの関心のあるテーマを選び、定期的に開催されるゼミを通して、修士・博士論文を良いものに仕上げていきます。ゼミでは、学生の研究発表、関連文献の発表のほかに、研究手法の学習やプレゼンテーションの勉強なども行っています。研究テーマは多岐にわたりますが、教員の専門分野が開発経済学、実証分析であるので、フィールドワークやデータを用いた定量的な分析手法が推奨されます。
OVERVIEW
At the Suzuki Laboratory, we study various issues related to the economic and social development of developing countries. Students choose their topics of interest and work toward their master's and doctoral theses through regularly held seminars. The seminars enable us to enhance our knowledge of related topics; learn analytical methods necessary to answer our research questions; and develop abilities related to problem setting, hypotheses formation, and effective presentation. Although students’ topics vary, studies based on fieldwork and quantitative analyses are highly recommended as the instructor specializes in development economics and empirical studies.
