The Upper Division:The College of Arts and Sciences


The AIKOM Program is conducted under the auspices of the senior division of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo. The College's curriculum covers a wide range of academic fields, and consists of the following six departments and twenty-two majors:


Department of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies
Majors: Cultural Anthropology/ Culture and Representation/
Japanese Intercultural Studies/ Language and Information Sciences

Department of Area Studies
Majors: American Area Studies / British Area Studies /
French Area Studies / German Area Studies /
Russian and East European Area Studies /

Department of Social and International Relations
Majors: Social Science Studies / International Relations

Department of Basic Science
Majors: History and Philosophy of Science /
