Development of purification and assay methods for nanomaterials and cell and its applications

Nanomaterials and nanomedical system are expected as technology in the next generation. However; the evaluation techniques for the physical properties and risk assessment of these newly developed materials with high accuracy and efficiency are not reported too much. In this project, we develop a practical purification and evaluation methods for these materials. In addition, we develop new analytical methods for biological compounds by combination of integration techniques and nano- and micro- scale materials. The concrete projects are, 1) high resolution and efficient separation methods for micron- and nano-scale materials, 2) high-throughput analysis of single nanomaterial and cell, and 3) creation of biomolecules- and cell- integrated microchip and its application to medicine. Through these studies, we can contribute to the development of the Center for NonoBio Integration.
